Our Core program is the safest and most effective way of learning Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

A common misconception about practicing Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is that you have to be a fighter, competitor or athlete. This could not be further from the truth. While some of our students are active in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and Submission Grappling competition, many of our students practice for nothing more than the enjoyment of learning Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. Our students are comprised of a diverse group of men and women of all ages. Some are medical and business professionals, while others are college students or stay at home parents. They train at Gracie 717 because we have made a commitment to give the best instruction and training possible in an environment that is “ego free”.
What makes Gracie 717 different is the way we teach. Our instructors are trained in serving students in an organized, patient, technical, and safe manner so as to share the best and most informative Jiu-Jitsu instruction available in the area.
Classes We Provide
Not only do we offer Brazilian Jiu-Jistu classes, but we also offer Kickboxing, Strength & Conditioning and MMA classes.
Brazilian Jiu-Jistu
Known as The Gentle Art, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu focuses on leverage and technique to overcome opponents who are larger and stronger. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has been proven as one of the strongest Martial Arts in the UFC and other MMA promotions across the globe.
MMA
A hybrid fighting style that combines both striking and grappling techniques. MMA was made popular by the UFC in 1993. Since then the sport has continued to grow and new techniques are constantly being employed by fighters. (Must have instructor’s approval)
Kickboxing
Kickboxing combines punching and kicking techniques developed from Muay Thai, Karate, and boxing. Kickboxing is practiced for a number of reasons including self-defense, fitness, or as a sport.
Strength & Conditioning
Strength and Condition for many of our competitive athletes is handled in house. For more information on our programs, stop in, or contact us at (717) 889-6613
